THE BASIC HAND WASHING TECHNIQUES

Image
Hand Washing is the single most important method of preventing the spread of illness, infection and food-borne illness. Every year more than 164 million school days are lost due to illness and children are often passing on the illnesses to their parents and siblings. In light of the concerns over seasonal flu (or influenza), washing our hands is one of the most important and effective things we can do to prevent getting the flu. Over a million gets a food-borne illness each year. Of these, thousands die as a result of their illness. Those who are particularly vulnerable to these infections are the very young, the very old, those who are hospitalized and those fighting diseases such as AIDS or Cancer. Many of those illnesses could have been avoided if we adults, children and caretakers had done something as simple as wash our hands correctly. In my Care-giving training we'd been taught how to do the basic hand washing techniques. The Department of Health also promo

MY HOME AND HOW I CLEAN EVERY PART OF IT

Image
It says CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS, but for me CLEANLINESS IS AWARENESS. It keeps every family member from illness and other health problems. Today, I would like to share some of my personal tips on how to clean our household (in and out). Start from the cleanest part of the house down to the dirtiest, top to bottom and inside to outside. But before cleaning I gather first all the necessary things I needed and make myself very comfortable. THE MOST AREA IN MY HOUSEHOLD THAT NEEDS CLEANING ALL THE TIME ARE: a. BEDROOM - it is where my family bonds most of the time. There, we can have quality time together playing and eating sometimes while watching television or just there to seriously tutoring my kids and surfing the net afterwards. How I clean them? A. Bed  First thing to do is to fold, keep and set aside still clean linens, if not simply put them in a laundry bin and keep ready a new set of linens for making bed after cleaning the w

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

Image
Why is patience a virtue? The phrase "patience is a virtue" is just a way of expressing the importance of being patient. A virtue is a trait or quality deemed to be morally excellent and thus is valued as a foundation of principle and good moral being. Patience can make us better people. The definition of the word is to tolerate delay implying self control and forbearance. When we say "patience is a virtue" we are exposing our moral values and expressing the importance of patience as a foundation of principle. So to answer the question patience is not a virtue until it truly becomes a virtue and knowing how diverse the spectrum of individualism is I'm sure patience is a vice(opposite of virtue) to some. Patience is a necessity for a happy existence and that is why the phrase is so often used.   They say:  "Nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances." A BANANA A DAY KEEPS DOCTORS AWAY. . .

Image
I always encouraged my family and friends to include banana in their meal as they say not only apple can keeps the doctor away but also Banana. I used to share some photos of bananas and offering friends to buy a kilo or more on ACCOUNT but of course I'll jump for joy if they pay me CASH. It  must also be the reason why monkeys are so happy all the time!  Anyway, here is how Banana can help in our diet. BANANA LAKATAN, SAGING, BANANE, PLATANO',  ALL THE SAME  "BANANA" A very interesting FACTS Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!... This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again. Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit w

ALL ABOUT MENOPAUSAL

34 Menopause Symptoms (HMMMM, JUST CHECKING IF I MAY HAVE SYMTOMS. . . ;-) Menopausal symptoms affect about 70% of women approaching menopause. Typical menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes or night sweats, are caused by changing hormonal levels in the female reproductive system. Almost all women notice early symptoms while still having periods. This stage of gradually falling and fluctuating hormone levels is called perimenopause, which often begins in the early 40s. The symptoms of menopause usually last for the whole menopause transition (until the mid 50s), but some women may experience them for the rest of their lives. The most common symptoms are: Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Irregular Periods, Loss of Libido, and Vaginal Dryness. However, there are a variety of treatments that can be considered to deal with these symptoms. LIST OF THE 34 MENOPAUSE SYMPTOMS Common Symptoms 1. Hot Flashes 2. Night Sweats 3. Irregular Periods 4. Loss of Libido
